Easter Monday in Ireland

Not only was Easter Sunday a holiday, but apparently Easter Monday is also special.  Bank Holidays in Ireland are celebrated by the closing of banks, restaurants, shops, and most anything the public might want to do except walking around aimlessly.

So, finding anything open for breakfast was a bit problematic.  But we persevered and eventually prevailed with good ol' fashioned Amurican gumption.  (We just stood around in restaurant foyers until someone was eventually willing to feed us.)

Luckily the National Gallery of Ireland was open, and within two minutes walk of the hotel, so we got to see like some art and stuff.

Later, we went for an evening walk through Merion Square.

  1. Did you see some guy in robes who says he had been in a cave for the weekend?
